Alex Pall’s Outlook on Music

Alex Pall is a member of the electronic dance music group known as Chainsmokers. The group was formed when Alex Pall met Andrew Taggart and prior to their meeting, he had been working as a DJ in New York City where he also lived. Being a DJ was part of his hobby even when growing up, and it became his little career while in the city. He has expressed that being a DJ in the city pursuing something he did not view as a job but a passion, was a little scary.

Alex Pall later realized his interest in dance music while at an art gallery and he developed the interest to pursue it seriously and see what he would make out of it. He began working with his current manager who later introduced him to Andrew and the two began working together on their music almost immediately. Alex Pall later quit his job to concentrate fully on music with his new-found partner.

He was interested in forming the duo because he understood what he was bringing to the table and he understood what would work and what would not. Alex Pall goal when they were starting was to create an identity around the kind the of music the group would be making. Alex Pall regards his partner as a talented producer and easy to work with since, from the beginning they have been like-minded individuals

Alex Pall sees his music career as more than a job because it is a continuous journey that he has to push himself to get better each time. He is expectant that even if the future, people shall keep on relating with their music on a deeper level as they do now. Alex Pall considers music career as a journey of self-discovery and one has to keep on trying new things.

Paul expressed that what makes Chainsmokers different is that they do not wholly rely on songwriters but they make sure to become part of songwriting so that they can be part of making the song. Alex Pall makes music to make the listeners feel better or connect emotionally with it whether they be old or young

ALEX PALL’S CHAINSMOKERS MUSIC EVOLUTION

Alex Pall is a band member of the duo The Chainsmokers. The group has had success in the recent years after releasing several songs that have been well received by the audience. They major mainly in producing electronic soundscapes that are then topped by a musical, mostly done by a third person.

However, the duo has been entering the mainstream by featuring their voices in their songs as opposed to what most other dance music DJs do. Closer, one of their singles is one of the songs that featured Halsey and Taggart (the other member of The Chainsmokers). The duo wants to establish themselves as an identity that has evolved over the years that they have been active.

Alex Pall started off as a DJ working in New York as a side job though it was a passion of his since he was young. Pall started pursuing the dance music genre after visiting an art gallery, where he realized that it was a part of him. He quit his job after he was introduced to Andrew, who was in college at the time, by Chainsmokers’s current manager. Andrew even moved from Maine to New York to pursue the dream. Pall was already in the group Chainsmokers when his partner left. It was then that Andrew saw the opportunity and took it and joined Pall.

Once they met, they immediately started working on their music. Since Andrew had experience in producing music, something he had done since he was in college, and Pall was good as a DJ; it was easier to make music and create the identity for themselves. The duo kept and keeps trying out new things that the fans could relate to. It’s something that has kept their fan base growing. This is because the two didn’t perceive the act as a job but rather something that they both enjoyed doing.

They always involve the songwriters in the process of making music so that they can grow while still making good music. Pall believes that with the always-changing music industry, The Chainsmokers will be able to get more people to listen to their music.
