However, the company was absorbed in a merger, and the industry went upside down giving Borre the opportunity to start her staffing company, which she did in 2001. One thing she learned early, however, was that the account executives that she originally hired were from larger staffing firms and they were used to lots of support but did poorly in a startup environment because they weren’t independent enough. That lesson cost Borre quite a bit of money and lost some clients, so she deduced that hiring her talent and training them herself was the way to go.
When asked what her average day was like, Rona responded that no day is ever the same. Her passion is to be out with the clients and developing relationships to that her firm can be an effective recruiting partner.
